The University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) is looking for two information security specialists (m/f) for the new joint working group “IT Security” of the UMG and the University of Göttingen.
More….All employees and students of the University of Göttingen now have free access to the HERDT publishing house’s digital IT manuals as part of the ALL YOU CAN READ university program. The manuals are available for download as printable PDF files after free registration at the publisher. In addition, there is direct access to additional digital materials such as learning films, knowledge tests, exercises and quick overviews. The IT topics include Windows, Office, systems and networks, image processing, graphics, programming, CAD, web, databases and IT management.

After the successful completion of the first Data Science Summer School in July of this year and the very positive feedback from the participants and lecturers, there will also be a Data Science Summer School in Göttingen next year. The summer school focuses on the cross-linking of theory and practice and the intensive exchange between the students and the lecturers as well as the group work. The data centre of the GWDG is closed from 23.12.2017 to 26.12.2017 and from 30.12.2017 and 01.01.2018. From 27.12.2017 to 29.12.2017 the data centre is only opened from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
