The GöHPCoffee is a bi-weekly meeting on Wednesdays at 11:00 to give a place for a free and informal meeting between users and staff. These meetings are open to anyone, regardless of your expertise on HPC, we welcome everyone. Our aim with these events is to support the HPC user community and help with any questions or issues regarding HPC and clusters.

The GöAID Coffee is a monthly meeting, held every first Tuesday of the month at 13:00 AM, where **AI Developers and other interested parties gather around for a collaborative discourse centered around some of the most pioneering topics currently at the forefront of our field. We invite you to join our forum to discuss topics including MLOps, fine-tuning of deep learning models, training of foundation models, and parallelization techniques. No registration required!

High Performance Computing is a key enabler for the numerical simulation of aerodynamics and multidisciplinary simulation as well as optimization of aircraft, spacecraft and ground transportation vehicles including their components as well as wind energy turbines. The essential need of tailored HPC-systems in these areas requires a close cooperation of the application side with providers of these systems. This year the HPCN-Workshop will take place in Göttingen, home of the CARO-Cluster. DLR, aerospace academia and industries will present their research and projects in the scope of the workshop, ranging from future topics with invited speakers like Exascale Computing to today’s large-scale HPC-applications in DLR focusing on performance and scalability aspects. Hard- and software providers of HPC-systems will present their latest developments.

The GöHAT is a monthly meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 9:30 to give a place for a free and informal meeting between admins of different data centers. These meetings are open to anyone, regardless of your expertise on HPC, we welcome everyone.

Researchers dealing with highly sensitive data are increasingly demanding access to the computational resources required to be able to adapt those approaches in their disciplines, which is being driven by the advancement of data and compute-intensive methods in numerous scientific domains. Integrating trustworthy security measures on current High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters is an ongoing endeavor to efficiently meet the computing needs of those researchers. The main issue with handling sensitive data securely is that HPC systems are often shared systems that are optimized for efficiency rather than strong security. Moreover, using only UNIX permissions is not secure enough since new vulnerabilities are constantly being found. In this workshop, we will use a step-by-step approach to show you how to use a secure workflow that has been been developed and deployed on the Scientific Compute Cluster (SCC), to guarantee more security when analysing sensitive data on HPC systems.
